Bobby McNish

Child and Youth Care professional

I am a Child and Youth Care professional with over 20 years of experience supporting children, youth, adults, and families across Ontario. I hold a Child and Youth Worker diploma from Centennial College and a Police Foundations diploma from St. Lawrence College, providing a strong foundation in behaviour management, crisis intervention, and community-based support.

For nearly two decades, I have worked as a Behavioural Specialist with Bartimaeus, supporting individuals in schools, family homes, hospitals, and residential settings. I have also worked as an Educational Intervenor and Student Support Worker within school boards, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote emotional regulation, positive behaviour, and meaningful skill development.

My work is grounded in trauma-informed, relationship-based care, supported by extensive training in crisis intervention, autism support, FASD, and aggressive behaviour prevention. I am currently furthering my professional development by studying Autism and Behaviour Science, ensuring my practice remains informed by current research and evidence-based approaches.

I am committed to providing practical, compassionate, and results-focused support tailored to the unique needs of each individual, family, and organization I serve.
